15 Minute Skillet Gochujang Chicken
This sticky and spicy chicken comes together in just fifteen minutes for the perfect quick dinner.
easy.enzo81.xyzThere is nothing quite like a fast skillet dinner when you are tired after a long day. This gochujang chicken is one of my favorite go to meals because it is packed with savory, sweet, and spicy flavors that keep everyone coming back for seconds.
My top tip for this recipe is to make sure your skillet is nice and hot before you add the chicken. This ensures you get that beautiful golden brown color on the thighs, which adds so much flavor to the final dish.
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons gochujang paste
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Green onions for garnish
- Cooked rice for serving
5Instructions
- 1
Whisk the gochujang, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and minced garlic together in a small bowl until smooth.
- 2
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
- 3
Add the chicken pieces to the pan in a single layer. Cook for about 6 minutes until they are browned and cooked through.
- 4
Pour the sauce over the chicken and stir well to coat every piece. Let it bubble for 2 minutes until the sauce becomes sticky and thick.
- 5
Remove from the heat and serve immediately over a bowl of hot rice with a sprinkle of sliced green onions on top.
Tips
Serve this over fluffy jasmine rice or cauliflower rice to soak up all the extra sauce. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days and reheat gently in a pan.
