I absolutely love blue cheese, and this dressing is my go to for everything from fresh salads to crispy buffalo wings. It has the perfect balance of tang and creaminess, and those little chunks of blue cheese really make every bite special.

Whether you are a longtime fan or just getting started with blue cheese, this recipe is super simple to pull together. You can choose a bold cheese like Roquefort for a sharp kick, or pick a milder variety like Blue Castello to keep things nice and mellow.

Ingredients

  • 150g creamy blue cheese of your choice
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup whole egg mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

4Instructions

  1. 1

Place the blue cheese into a medium mixing bowl and use a fork to mash it until it is crumbly.

  2. 2

Add the buttermilk, mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic powder, and apple cider vinegar to the bowl.

  3. 3

Whisk everything vigorously for about 15 seconds until the ingredients are well combined but still retain some small, delicious lumps of cheese.

  4. 4

Serve immediately as a dip or store in the fridge until you are ready to use it.

Tips

Store this dressing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. It makes a fantastic dip for veggie sticks and potato wedges, or you can drizzle it over hot pizza and steak.
